SeaLife Sea Dragon Mini 1200 & 1600 | ScubaLab First Look
ScubaLab takes a first look at SeaLife's latest dive lights, the Sea Dragon Mini 1200 and 1600.
These lights are made of anodized aluminum for corrosion resistance and depth-rated to 330 feet (100 meters). The lights are comfortable in the hand and include two textured surfaces, one on the tail and a raised textured surface by the activation button for enhanced grip and security.
The light's lightweight, compact design easily slips into a pocket or clips off to a bike when not in use. The single button activation makes it easy and quick to access all the lights features, which include three different power levels and two hidden emergency signaling functions. The lights both feature a new Luminous SFT-40 LED and a tightly focused beam angle.
The lights are powered by a single rechargeable 18650 lithium ion battery. The included batteries will power the light for an hour at full power. The lights are available with battery and charger, or the light alone; all lights include a lanyard with BC-clip, and a set of spare O-rings and lube. The lights can be purchased with or without batteries.
The powerful far-reaching illumination offered by both the Sea Dragon Mini 1200 and 1600 is great for use as a primary light. The lights’ compact sizes are also conveniently sized for back-up duty, as they can easily slip into a pocket or be clipped off using the included lanyard.
