Underwater Photography: Cenote Cistalino, Tulum, Yucatan, Mexico

Cenote Cistalino Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico
Early in the morning, the sun’s rays penetrate deep into the cavern of this cenote, creating magic. The model and I were free-diving, so I just waited for the right moment and the right framing.

How I Got the Shot: I used a Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105 lens at 24mm, f/4, 1/125, ISO 800 with only natural light. The key was to expose for the most out of the rays without overexposing. I positioned myself as deep as the cavern allowed to get the right angle of the model and the rays.
