The Ultimate Scuba Road Trip through The Florida Keys

Follow staffers from Scuba Diving on a trip through America's Dive Capital, The Florida Keys, 100 miles of blue-water adventure from Key Largo through Islamorada, Marathon and Big Pine to Key West.

Stop1: Key Largo

Considered the gateway to the Florida Keys, Key Largo is both the longest key—33 miles—and our first stop on our scuba road trip through the Florida Keys.

Stop 3: Marathon

It may only be 10-miles long but Marathon offers great diving and a relaxing atmosphere.

Stop 4: Big Pine

For divers, the big lure near Big Pine Key is the chance to head out on Looe Key Reef, part of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

Stop 5: Key West

The road trip stops here, explore the southernmost point of the U.S., dive the *USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg wreck and enjoy the lively atmosphere in Key West.
