Solmar V

Located in the Pacific Ocean approximately 165 miles west of Ensenada, Mexico, Guadalupe Island is now recognized as the world’s best destination for viewing, photography and video of great white sharks. The visibility is often more than 100’ and the water temperature averages between 65F-70F. This is cage diving at its most exciting and, because you will be using surface supplied air (hookah) instead of scuba tanks, this adventure is open to both divers and non-divers alike. These 5 day trips are shorter than our other diving excursions so they are perfect for a great mini-vacation. Since we pick up our guests in San Diego, CA, it is very convenient for our U.S. clientele (see sample itinerary attached)

Our experienced and professional crew aboard the Solmar V provide a quality experience by maximizing cage time and onboard comfort. We operate 2 four person cages using a proprietary swivel system which hooks to our swim platform making it very easy and safe to get in and out of our cages even in rough weather. We also operate one 3 person submersible cage (certified divers only for this cage) that takes two guests plus one of our shark experts down to a depth of 30 feet providing a unique, panoramic view of these apex predators in their own element. Most of the action is around the surface cages but the submersible cage is also very popular. With two four person surface cages plus the submersible cage, we are able to rotate 10 guests in and out every hour all day long. This provides plenty of cage time for all our guests and a memorable experience they will not soon forget.
